Roesy at the Halfmoon Theatre
April 3rd, 2006 Posted in Ireland, Live Music, Music, PhotographyRoesy launched his latest album "Colour Me Beautiful" at the Halfmoon Theatre in Cork just over a week ago. I've seen Roesy play a few times now and as usual he and his band put on a great show. The event was largely seated with standing room at the back which is where we were as we got in a little late. This was a bit unfortunate as the excellent Ian Whitty and band played support which we missed completely
. You just can never tell if the time on the ticket for doors is actully the time they start!
Roesy played all the usual tracks with quite a few from the new album which sound pretty cool but right at the end a lady upstairs wanted to hear a song, can't remember what it was now, but it has to have been the most polite request I've ever heard at a gig. "Emm, Roesy, would you mind … I mean would it be possible if you don't mind to at some stage play … " as opposed to the usual "PLAY [insert song name] YA LANGER".
Thanks Campus Radio for the tickets by the way
