Juliet Turner at 96FM
April 14th, 2006 Posted in Ireland, Live Music, Music, PhotographyA few weeks back Juliet Turner played at 96FM for an invite only gig. I got my tickets thanks to the Green Room, a great show dedicated to Irish artists on Saturdays at 6pm. I've seen her play before but the last time she had her full band with her, this time she played an acoustic session with just one other guitarist.
After playing a few songs Juliet started to warm to the crowd and overcame her self-admitted shyness. It was an odd gig, to be honest, with everyone standing or sitting at the edges of the room. I believe she went onto play in McDaids in Midleton that night afterwards. She's playing there again in June, although the June 1st show is already sold out.
Some more pics from the gig:

I haven’t listened to her much, but watched the Omagh dvd last week. I’m wondering are many of her songs about that unforgetable day.
