The Blizzards at Cyprus Avenue

The Blizzards played a great gig at Cyrpus Avenue last Thursday and best of all for cheapy me, it was free. I had seen them play support to Fred in the Spiegeltent during the summer but as is usually the case with support bands the crowd doesn’t get too close and there is never too much of an atmosphere.
I was surprised at the songs I recognised from the radio such as Trouble. The lead singer, Niall Breslin, had some great stories about the songs and why they were written which is something I like to hear at a gig. If you want to see a great band full of energy and variety then check these guys out.
The music itself was very tight but after every song you could see the band members visibly relaxing that they had pulled off another song to perfection. Like I said, their music is varied and more complex than your usual guitar and piano sound which should mark them apart from all the other bands out there.
