Drop-D Showcase: Fight Like Apes
February 22nd, 2007 Posted in Ireland, Live Music, Music, Photography, corkgigsFight Like Apes from Dublin were second up on stage at the recent Drop-D showcase in Cyprus Avenue. These guys, and gal, have a great sound and if you see them once, they’ll leave you wanting more. They don’t seem to be coming back to Cork in the near future but keep an eye out for them. To borrow from the fine people at Drop-D.ie again:
FIGHT LIKE APES are a new band from Dublin. These guys really impress with
a new brand of pop using synthesisers and singer MayK has a wonderful and
powerful voice.
The second last photo has been used by Drop-D.ie in an article about Female Fronted Rock.

The second picture is great and I like the slogan on the guy’s t-shirt! I wonder if there was anything written on the back.
