Philtre at An Brog

Philtre competed in the semi-finals of the 2007 Murphy’s Live music competition in Cork on March 29th. Having seen them for the first time a month previous to this, I was looking forward to the show, as were their large travelling contingent. Philtre put on a great display with lead-singer Tom Leahy mixing strong stage presence with a relaxed and capable performance. I remarked previously that he has a distinctive voice which really sets this band apart.

great stuff – it is not easy to take good photos of a band. I love the fourth one from the top, with the guitar in focus.
